Terms of Service

Effective 28 August 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Curi: the website, apps, APIs, emails, and related services at curi.one (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Questions: hello@curi.one.

The Service

Curi provides daily micro-learning: topic clarification, AI-assisted lesson and quiz generation, progress tracking, field notes, optional email digests, and related features. We may change, pause, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical. Free and paid plans have different limits (for example, how many active tracks you may keep).

Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us at hello@curi.one if you suspect misuse. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or create risk for other users.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the Service beyond normal use.
  • Attempt to bypass plan limits, paywalls, or security controls.
  • Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or use Curi to harass others.
  • Misrepresent generated lessons as human-authored professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise).
  • Resell or commercially redistribute Curi content without our written permission.

AI-generated content

Lessons, quizzes, outlines, and related materials may be produced or enriched by AI systems and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. Curi is an educational aid, not professional advice. Verify important facts independently. Citations and sources, when shown, help you evaluate claims. They do not guarantee accuracy.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you create in the Service (such as field notes). You grant Curi a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. Feedback you send us may be used freely without obligation to you.

Our intellectual property

The Curi name, wordmark, design system, software, and curated product experience are owned by Curi or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own learning. Catalogue and generated lesson text are licensed for personal use within the Service, not for bulk republication.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Prices, included features, and billing intervals are shown at checkout or in-product. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise. You can cancel renewal in account settings; access continues until the end of the paid period. Taxes may apply. Failed payments may lead to downgrade or suspension.

Email

By enabling daily or lifecycle emails, you consent to receive them at your account address. You can manage preferences or unsubscribe as described in those messages. Sign-in and billing emails are part of operating the Service.

Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy (linked below). Using the Service means you also acknowledge that policy.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that AI-generated lessons will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CURI AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO CURI IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR £50 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed.

Termination

You may stop using Curi and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, stop using the Service and close your account.
